Our activities are carried out based on the applicable legal and regulatory requirements, collaborating with our clients in the achievement of a sustainable development for both their operations and the environment.
Vision
We want to stand out for being a cutting-edge and innovative company in the field of Waste Transportation and Management services, being recognized by our clients for our transparency in the performance of our activities, our commitment to the environment and our compliance with the valid regulations, under a scheme of continuous improvement in management.
History
Anfibio is a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) founded in 2007. It started as a family business in La Serena, Chile, focused on developing eco-tourism activities and encouraging the practice of sports such as mountain biking, kayaking, diving and trekking.
Later, given the proximity to a health area, Anfibio began to process its authorizations to provide a service, which would benefit the community and the environment, defining a new horizon in the transport of waste from hospitals, clinics, laboratories and similar establishments.
In its beginnings, clients were attracted by our strong environmental commitment, since nationwide there were no regulations regarding the management of waste from healthcare establishments, except for some provisions in the Decree 148/2003 (Decreto 148/2003) of the Ministry of Health.
Subsequently, in 2010, Anfibio turned all its activities to the transport business and prepared itself for the entry into force of the new law regulating the management of waste from healthcare facilities (REAS, Residuos generados en Establecimientos de Atención de Salud), Decree 6/2009 (Decreto 6/2009) of the Ministry of Health, thus opening the opportunity to massively manage a new classification of waste.
Currently, Anfibio manages waste from Arica to Punta Arenas, with a strong presence in the north of Chile. Additionally, it has incorporated some elements related to Consulting and consumable supply, as well as a variety of services associated to the field of health and environmental management, using world leading technologies.
Likewise, we are back in the promotion of sport activities, creating a unit to produce sports events, together with a motivated team of professional and amateur athletes.
Our project has been boosted, in a significant percentage, by the Technical Cooperation Service (SERCOTEC, Servicio de Cooperación Técnica) and the Production Development Corporation (CORFO, Corporación de Fomento de la Producción) through public funds.
