  2. It creates the classification of waste generated in a Health Care Facility:
    • Category 1: Hazardous Waste.
    • Category 2: Low Intensity Radioactive Waste.
    • Category 3: Special Waste
    • Category 4: Waste Assimilable to Household Waste
  3. You can storage your hazardous waste for up to 6 months.
  4. It defines the hazardous characteristic properties of the hazardous waste from any industry:

    • Chronic Toxicity
    • Extrinsic Toxicity

THE STUDY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED REGULATIONS RESULT IN THE FULFILLMENT OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • NCh 2190 (2003) of the (Chilean) National Standards Institute: it establishes the requirements for safety labels to identify the risks of hazardous substances. The safety labels are intended to be placed on the external surface of containers, packages or bundles containing these substances and on the transport units in which they are transported. Some of the labels used are the following:

  • Likewise, hazardous substances must be marked according to their hazardous characteristic properties and must be identified with the corresponding UN number:
